Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting

One good thing about Harvest is that each year is different! You never have to worry about getting bored doing the same thing day in and day out.

Loaded and headed to Sidney, Nebraska.

Our first few years, we took any job that was offered to us as we tried to build our business. I am thankful that God provided us with such amazing farmers and a great run that for the past fifteen years has supported our family and this crazy lifestyle we live.

My boys are growing up to fast!

This season has had its challenges with drought and hail, causing us to have more “holes” in our run than any other year.  But with this time off, we have had more family time than we’ve ever had on harvest, as well. We have watched movies, grilled out, fished, went swimming and have taken fun memorable day trips!

It’s like the best of both worlds! We work non-stop for a few weeks and then we get a “vacation”.  We would all like to stay a bit busier because, let’s face it, bills don’t pay themselves but this is also time with our kids we can’t get back. So while we are thankful for the work, I am also going to take advantage of our downtime.

It’s extremely hard, sometimes, but we have to be content in the now! God has us where He wants us for His reasons. And His way is best…we just have to learn to trust His plan for our lives!

Many blessings,
Kylee DeBock

“I know what it is to be in need and what it is to have more than enough. I have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little.”
