My decorating took the back burner this year.
I started December 23rd and am still trying to squeeze it in. But, advent was prayerful and book work is done for the year!
It is what it is… 🙂
My decorating went natural and old school…with only the things I love. I wanted to share because my house and my camper are me. They come with what I love and a little chaos and dust mixed in!
It’s still Christmas in my house and will be through the feast of the three kings (Epiphany) on January 6th. There are so many beautiful, and meaningful, celebrations throughout these next couple of weeks in our Catholic faith.
Peace to all!
The Merry Christmas crocheted wall hanging was made by my mom in 1989. A treasure, indeed.
I have had this since the 1990’s. I still love the Little Drummer Boy.
You can tell by the frame this, as well, has been with my Christmas since the 90’s. Who doesn’t love an angel and the three kings? It has always been a Christmas favorite of mine. I wonder if it might have a tiny bit to do with “our travels”?
Another holiday must, from the late 90’s, is this handmade stocking from my dear friend, Dawn.
My maternal grandmother, Frances, painted this camel. I love it! It is a part of a ceramic nativity.
The barn door came from an old red barn where my mother grew up; which we now farm. The Santa was my mom’s. Mom and Dad downsized before moving to town so all of us sisters shared in mom’s love of Christmas. The star is a duplicate. I have another one from my dear friend, Bobby.
I enjoy sharing these stories…and my life. One of the reasons is because at the end of each year, I have a book printed with the articles I have submitted through HarvestHER.
Sometimes it turns out to be more than one but, someday, my grandchildren will know just a bit more about their Grandpa and Grandma and the life we led.
