Kristy Misener / Braathen Harvesting & Misener Family Harvesters
Moving day is here again.
Only about a 320 mile jaunt but it’s been fun!
All of yesterday’s work was not completed as planned because day one of moving didn’t go so well. While on this trip yesterday, two flat tires and a fuel-filter-needing-changed-again made for a late day.
Therefore, the guys did not arrive back “home” as planned by late afternoon (not til after ten and they still needed supper).
So, obviously, the preparations for today’s trip we’re postponed til today. One of two oil changes were done this morning, two heads moved, trucks needed fuel, trucks needed hooking up to different trailers, pickup and suburban needed fuel and gas and, since it’s Sunday, we had mass. Then, of course, everyone wants to eat before campers could be readied for transport.
Tearing down camp is always sad! At least we’ll be back here for fall harvest. Anyway, we’re nearing our destination now but will need to set up camp in the dark. Not preferable but doable!
The smoke from Montana and Canada has been obvious all day. This picture through the windshield does not do the obscurity justice. The sun is blood red and smoke everywhere!
