This morning I was awake before my alarm. It’s combine moving day and I get to go!!!!
It’s a beautiful, cool morning and I can smell the diesel from all the trucks starting up.
I had a huge moment.
About 1974 is as far back as I can remember. My Daddy would wake me up, grab my blanket and put me in the truck or pickup with Mom. I would curl up and always ask how long before we will be cutting wheat?? I was always told, “Take a nap, we will be at the next stop before you know it.”
Wow, it was a good moment!
I jumped in my truck to pull a combine this morning! I’m so blessed to have this HarvestHER blood running in my veins!! I can’t even explain what it feels like to be with my family and crew for a little bit!! I think I squealed when we all got rolling this morning.
My daughter, Shiann, and her husband, Tyler, are getting to help move the crew today, also. Makes a mama’s heart smile, for sure!!
