Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting
Today I am writing my post in between classes. I am subbing at the Mooreland Elementary. I have subbed here several times and really enjoy it.
Today I am in the music room! I am not musically inclined so this will be interesting, to say the least! Thank goodness the teacher has it all lined out for me!
The last weekend in March was the HarvestHER retreat in Omaha, Nebraska. I had been looking forward to this event for well over a year. I was packed and ready to leave for last year’s retreat when a huge wildfire went right by my home and I just didn’t feel comfortable leaving. So, unfortunately, I missed out.
But it was worth the wait! It was everything I had hoped for and MORE!
I met Amber in January and we just clicked so well together that I knew it would be fun to have her at the retreat with me. I am so happy she accepted my invitation.
She met me at my house and we headed to Kiowa, Kansas to pick up Amanda (whom we’d never met till we pulled into her driveway). She hopped in and it was like we’d all known each other for years. We talked about everything under the sun and the conversation flowed very easily throughout the car.
Once we arrived at the “ Mansion on the Hill”, I finally got to meet Tracy. I have texted, emailed, and talked on the phone with her but never met her in person. It was so nice to get that first hug!
Tracy is as sweet and genuine as they come. She worked so hard to make sure that our weekend was enjoyable. She left no stone unturned.
It was a fantastic weekend of making new friends, FOOD, great speakers, FOOD, activities, FOOD, shopping, FOOD, and a trip to the local winery. And…did I mention AMAZING FOOD?
And let’s not forget the awesome sponsors that helped make this possible. I am so glad they believed in Tracy’s vision and the women of the custom harvesting industry. I left the retreat feeling rejuvenated and refreshed – ready to take on another harvest season.
To the ladies that attended…I am so thankful that I met you all! You all have become my go-to peeps for advice, wisdom, recipes, relief on stressful days, and, most importantly, to help keep me focused on God.
You ladies are amazing and I pray that each of you have an amazing harvest season.
God Bless,
Kylee DeBock
