Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting
After all the rain delays in Texas, we finally finished up. We were in Texas twenty-one days for a seven day job! The rain was relentless.
With all the rain delays, we did get in some fun adventures. One of the kids’ favorite outings was to the water park in Wichita Falls. Well, when I say kids I mean big and little; we all had so much fun. It was a great time making memories with our crew!
Also, while in Texas, I picked some sand plums and tried my hand at making jelly! It was actually really fun and it turned out fantastic!
We moved to Alva, OK on June 14th and we were able to unload and start cutting. However, it was short-lived as it rained that evening. The rain seemed to follow us here too. We have been fighting mud terribly!
And for the FIRST time in sixteen years of harvesting, we got our combines so stuck we needed to call a dozer, TWICE!
We have finished our first farmer here and have moved onto the next one. The forecast is looking to be in our favor for awhile.
I will be praying for all my HarvestHER friends and their crews as you all travel this harvest season!
God Bless,
Kylee DeBock
