Yesterday was Jim’s 60th birthday. I can start on the whole “I can’t believe it’s been so many years…” but won’t. Unless and until you’re in my shoes, you just can’t understand how very fast the years go. Jim and I have known each other forever (or so it seems)! We will also be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary on the 17th of this month. It seriously feels like yesterday. He says differently…
Anyways, you get the drift! Enjoy today because it will soon become yesterday and the days become years. Seriously!
I wanted to share my Grandma’s Mayo Cake recipe with you. When we were dating, I made this cake for Jim for his birthday. It has been his favorite ever since. It’s easy and delicious! I skimp on the frosting, though. He really likes Betty Crocker Cream Cheese frosting so that’s what he gets! Hope you love it as much as we do!!
Eli’s 4th birthday is today (10th) so we tend to celebrate the two together. Eli missed being born on Grandpa’s birthday by like six hours.
The whole Z Crew managed to gather together for breakfast yesterday, as well. It was a blessed day!!
