We made it to South Dakota yesterday evening and were greeted with 20/100’s of rain.

If you could smell this! Beautiful alfalfa field ready to be cut. Not sure if the dancing little butterflies are noticeable.

But this afternoon, we went out and tried the wheat fields that Myron thought would be the closest to being ready. We were able to cut a couple of loads.

Hard to believe it’s South Dakota already but, technically, we have started cutting around July 18th the last few years.
The fields vary but a little heat and wind will make a difference…if we can bypass these next few possible storms.
And so it goes – another day on the trail and hitting the road!
