We were never meant to do life alone. So, why in the world does it feel like our world encourages independence and isolation?
Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER – and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Definition of community – “A group of people having common interests.”
When asked about why I created the HarvestHER Facebook page and the HarvestHER Wellness Retreat, my response has always been that God never intended us to be islands. He intended His creation to be connected to Him as well as to one another.
Somewhere along the way, it seems we’ve been led astray and encouraged to believe that independence is the better way.
Nope!
You are here because you enjoy reading about the experiences of the women involved with the custom harvesting industry. But, you are also here because you have surely felt the sense of community, which was the intention.
Take another step forward and consider attending the HarvestHER Wellness Retreat scheduled to begin on February 26th in Ashland, Nebraska. It is intended to be a blessing to you without a lot of expense on your family’s budget. A time to step away from the hustle and bustle of life and, for three days, enjoy being served and pampered.
Sound good?
The retreat is limited to 24 women. It’s meant to be small and intimate. Time to build life-long relationships with other women going through the same things you are going through.
There are still a few spots open. The registration deadline is February 12th.
Feeling that nudge? God’s whispering to your soul that this event is just what you need. Don’t ignore it!

I created the following video as a way to thank the sponsors for this event. And for them to see what they’re helping me create. I want you to watch it to see how valuable being a member of a community can be.
