Kylee DeBock – DeBock Harvesting
The year 2020 has had its challenges!
I’d say for us, however, it’s been a good year for harvest and for family gatherings!
Last month, I posted about my family flying into North Dakota for Thanksgiving and what a great time we had with them.
This month, we had an early Christmas with Dillon’s family.
We rented a house in Red Lodge, Montana and went skiing. Dillon’s parents flew from Oklahoma, as did his youngest brother, Casey, and his family from Texas. We drove from North Dakota. His middle brother, Laramie, and wife live in Bridger, Montana.
Usually, we celebrate Christmas on the family farm in Oklahoma but this year, we wanted to give Laramie and Dacia a break from the long drive. So, we all went to them this year. It was a great time!
Kortney and I skied for two days and used the third day to do all the downtown shops in the cute town of Red Lodge.
The boys skied all three days and lived to tell about it!
My kids have only skied one other time but picked up on it very quickly. Uncle Casey took Colston down several blacks (hard) and blues (medium), as well as going on some moguls and jumps!
Dillon and Laramie did a few blues, too, but chickened out on the blacks! Kortney and I skied on greens (easiest) the whole trip. I did try a few small jumps and survived. Cutter my three year old nephew even skied with us, he did really well for his age and really enjoyed himself!
The evenings were spent playing games and telling stories.
Kortney and I cooked several dinner and breakfast meals and we ate out for lunch. We went out Saturday night for a nice steak dinner.
What a fantastic trip it was and what wonderful memories were made! The boys are already talking about booking another trip for next year!
Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas!!
God Bless,
Kylee
