So, after the HarvesterHER selfie, I headed to the camper and packed hubby (Myron) a lunch, then dropped off on the way to get a printer and some groceries. Three hours later, I am headed back and stopped to see if the guys needed anything…turns out, YES, they did. I helped move the pickup to another field, then as I’m waiting for a grain sample, I helped JD get a truck out of a low spot in the field. Took the sample in to the elevator – it’s 13.1!! We can keep going. Headed back to the camper to check the weather and unload all the groceries before starting supper.
Good news…it’s OK to sweat in Southern Oklahoma and the storm should stay west tonight.
#HarvestHER selfie. 🙂 #chrome
Yep, that’s my hubby, Myron.
This is how we HarvestHERs roll – groceries in the same location as the sample of wheat that has to go to the elevator. Most times, we learn that what we think we can count of happening, doesn’t.
This contraption is a moisture tester. Much larger than the one we use in the field but much more reliable. After I brought my sample in, the guys at the elevator tested for moisture – result? 13.1 – keep cutting!
The deck makes unloading a two-part task!
I picked up just a few groceries this afternoon.
The storm should stay west of us tonight.
