It has been a week ago that I boarded the plane to fly to the unexpected.  I was somewhat apprehensive; not knowing what the weekend would be like.  Would I be out-of-place??

Tracy, along with Nancy, picked up Jenny and me at the airport.  From there, we took the Tracy taxi to Manley, where we stayed at the Zeorian Bed and Breakfast.

We arrived at the amazing AirBnB house that Tracy had researched out on Friday.  This was a perfect place to host all of us under one roof, yet having the privacy of our own room.

The weekend was full of events which brought us all together. To get to know each other, we shared our heartaches and our blessings.

We are now all qualified to be bullet journalists and we also put our creative talents to the test by doing our own paintings.  We tasted some good (and not so good) wine.  We enjoyed being pampered by some top-notch spa ladies and gentlemen.   We also learned that we can overcome any obstacle put in our path by the Grace of God.

My ride home was not so amazing…some due to weather and some to the pilot using up too many of his hours.  However, I did learn to find something positive out of this situation!

I truly believe in the saying “Everything for a Reason” which gets me through many obstacles in life.

I want to thank Tracy for following her heart and pushing on.  Thank you to all the sponsorship – it is the wonderful people like you that helped us to come away from the weekend uplifted and ready to take on whatever life throws us.

Nancy Eberts

Nancy has been making the custom harvest journey with her husband, Myron, since 1982. In those early years of life on the road, she could be found in the combine or truck - along with any or all of their four children. These days, her time is mostly spent taking care of two campers, walking to the clothesline and back, cooking on the grill, paperwork in the office and windshield time in the cab of a pickup. Whatever it takes to “get ‘er done”! When Myron and Nancy aren't on the road, they call South Heart, North Dakota home.
