Open-Faced Philly Steak Sandwich
Ingredients
- Beef
- Green Peppers
- Onions
- Pepper Jack cheese slices
- Provolone cheese slices
- French Bread
Instructions
- Beef...Cooked and shredded. I use my crockpot and inexpensive cuts that can roast all day - even leftover roast will work. It's your choice. Season to your liking.
- Start with a loaf of French bread, split in half. Buttered (or not) and toasted under the broiler.
- Add pepper jack cheese and also melt under the broiler.
- Simmer sliced peppers and onions in butter and add to shredded meat.
- Layer the meat and onions and peppers over the melted pepper jack and top with provolone cheese. Broil till melted.
- By toasting the bread first, it makes a better, more soft and crunchy sandwich. Slice and enjoy!
