Well, it’s that time of year!
It’s the time of year that you walk into Walmart and there are Christmas trees and music playing! They also have all their “Christmasy smells out! People say it’s too early, but I secretly love it! 🎄🎉🎊
It’s the time of year that it’s starting to get really chilly in the mornings and you wake up to a frost. Thank goodness we now have a garage so there’s no scraping for me this winter!! ❄️😆💪🏼
This time of year, we really start to think about the holidays and how exciting it is to see family we haven’t seen all summer!! And what all we are really thankful for. Planning what to make/bring for Thanksgiving. 🍖
We are planning a trip to Moline, IL with the guys so they can see the machines they drove all season be built. 🚜
It’s that time of year that we start to wean ourselves from the diner and start to eat supper at our house. It’s been great getting to cook. I absolutely love it.
I decided to make some breakfast burritos that my mom always made. She makes lots and lots and freezes them. I got the makings and actually they are super simple but I didn’t know what size tortilla to use. (She’s in Mexico right now, so calling her is a bit of an issue at the moment). So, as I was making these things, I was thinking goodness it’s not making many…then when I ran out of burrito makings and they wouldn’t fit in a ziplock like they normally do, I figured out my tortillas are way too big. Now we don’t have many burritos, but on the plus side, they are fat, loaded burritos that could fill you for a day! Turk tried one last night and it passed inspection!
My burrito assembly line!
This stuff really is the best green chili ever! I have only found it in Colorado, so if you are ever there you have to get some! It is a bit spicy though.
It’s also that time of year that I start scouting for meat sales to stalk the freezer! I saw a sale on chicken and snatched it up. Mom got me a food saver which has been a lifesaver with my frozen stuff. I love that thing.
Loading up on some chicken!
I hope everyone is having a great time of year! And I hope everyone is staying safe. The end of fall is almost in sight…it seems! 🍁🌽
