Erica Brown – Brown Acres Custom Harvesting
I am numb, thankful & heartbroken. We lost a furry friend, Bella, yesterday. I am so, so grateful my 5 year old was at the back of the machine.
I had a “hydraulic level low” warning on the monitor. The combine was shut down while we investigated the source. The entire left side was covered in hydraulic oil and it was still spraying out. Suddenly the header dropped to the ground.
I have a horrific movie replaying in my head and just keep thinking it wasn’t Brett. We are so lucky.
The rest of the day was full of various issues on #1. I drove 100 miles one-way to get parts and hydraulic oil. I have to drive 60 miles in the morning for some other parts. We’re hoping to get it going in the morning.
I thought this verse was really good yesterday:
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 MSG
