Murdo, SD is having a celebration event this weekend with rodeos, kid’s activities and a street dance. We brought the kids to the parade in the morning. They had fun chasing candy and looking at the firetrucks and cars.
We have friends visiting for the weekend. The kids went with friends in the early afternoon to the inflatable toys while I did laundry. I took our boys to the pool in the afternoon. They all had fun playing with friends and splashing!
Due to the rain, we had a late start. The wheat was still too damp at noon. We were finally able to get started around 2:30.
We headed out to the field for supper. I made Italian Beef for sliders with cheese.
We didn’t get to have supper in the field. We had a storm moving in and needed to get the trucks filled. It was one of those nights: we’ll stop to eat after the next round, after the next truck, after this, after that.
We were shut down around 8:15 pm due to rain.
Everything was shut down, parked, tarped and tucked in. We headed for the campers and ate at a table. So now we have another rain break. I shouldn’t have been so excited about the last one.

- 1 packet Italian Dressing mix (Good Season's dry)
- ½ cup water
Instructions
- Place roast in Crock-Pot.
- Sprinkle seasoning on top.
- Pour water in Crock-Pot.
- Cook all day.

7. Must be the entertainment director for those rainy days.
8. Be a wife, mom, friend, helper, cook, problem solver, taxi driver or extra crew hand at all times.
9. Can handle the call that makes you react, "You need what? When?" Dropping everything you're doing to make it happen.
10. At the end of the day say, "I really do love this life".
