There’s no place like home!
We have been home for a couple of days. This is always a busy, busy time. We have a little break as our acres at headquarters are a little green yet. So this means catching up on repairs, mowing, checking cattle and those nasty thistles!! It’s always a challenge for us HarvestHER’s!! As you try not to drag too much out of the campers but yet it’s so nice to be in a real house for a bit!! Needless to say, we all do a lot of running back and forth. 🙂
I was thinking the other day after arriving back home…I have always been asked the same question by so many folks along our travels, “Didn’t you miss being a kid at home?” My answer will always be the same…No, I didn’t miss being a kid at home. You see, I love this life! It’s in my blood! I have traveled to beautiful states with my family!! I have met some of the most magnificent people!! I have friends throughout many states!! Some of life’s most valuable lessons have been learned through the eyes of a custom harvester!
“The Lord gives and the Lord takes away”. We are never asked to bear the cross alone💜
My Dad always says, “It’s not a job if you love what you do!” I realize this is going to be a tough season for all involved in agriculture. So many have been hit by the big white combine (hail) and a lot of drought in our northern states. We are a tough bunch and we will prevail.
I hope this finds everyone healthy and happy! 🙂 Count your blessings…something good is coming.💜🌾
My cute little rider, Kaymbri Lee.
2.5 inches of rain last evening!! Corn looks happy now! 🙂
In the middle of a wheat field❤️ Have yourself a Happy 4th!!
