We arrived in Murdo, South Dakota; a small tourist trap town on the way to the Black Hills along I-90.
The campground we normally stay at was a lot fuller than usual. There is road construction on the interstate and a lot of the road crew is staying there. Our campers were parked, but we had to get a longer 50 amp extension cord for one camper which required a trip to Pierre, SD 55 miles away. We also needed a special tool due to a stripped out hub on one of the combines.
We bought groceries and had supper at Pizza Ranch while in Pierre. The trucks were headed back to Ness City, KS for the remaining equipment. It was much cooler than the weather we had become accustomed to in Kansas; only 70°F most of the day. We were able to have windows open in the campers for the first time!
