Sunday was not a “field” day but Josh stayed busy polishing most of the day.
Monday started with the organization of the service truck and then they were able to get back into the field by evening.
Things are wrapping up here and I wanted to visit Karen and John before leaving. We had a nice visit this morning. We weren’t able to solve any of the world problems but did catch up on kids and grandkids and even her great grandkids! We harvested for John and Karen many years and I always enjoyed, even if only for a quick minute or two, the walk through their back yard, garden and her flowers. There is nothing she hasn’t grown (her quilts are also phenomenal!) and even though things are slowing down with retirement, she still shines when you walk with her in her yard. Thanks, Karen!
Josh is in the reflection…he did great.
Cody, Jacob and Josh.
I told him to smile!
My friend, Karen, another amazing Kansas Woman!
They just make me smile.
I also enjoyed a wonderful visit with Dorothy at the Mill! Check ’em out at Turonmill.com Dorothy and Ed have always been helpful and welcoming over the years. Good People!
Nancy has been making the custom harvest journey with her husband, Myron, since 1982. In those early years of life on the road, she could be found in the combine or truck - along with any or all of their four children. These days, her time is mostly spent taking care of two campers, walking to the clothesline and back, cooking on the grill, paperwork in the office and windshield time in the cab of a pickup. Whatever it takes to “get ‘er done”! When Myron and Nancy aren't on the road, they call South Heart, North Dakota home.
