Moving day is always an eventful time!
Got up at 5:15 am, got sandwiches made, packed the last-minute things, got the kids up and dressed, fed, got myself ready, loaded the kids and finally on the road! Phew, I’m exhausted! Thank goodness it was only a 2 and 1/2 hour drive so we beat the heat!
We made it to Pratt with no problems! I am so excited to finally be back with the rest of the crew. We haven’t been together since we left home!
While we were unloading the equipment, Karlie, the kids and I were sitting there watching and one of the guys was carrying something to us and asked us if we liked mice. Um, NO! He laughed and opened his hands and it was a baby bunny!
The kids were having so much fun with it, they brought it in the camper and were putting it in the toy grain cart!
Bentley and Kyler were so happy to see each other!
1. Be ready to go at the drop of a hat...sometimes without a lunchbox.
2. Has removed the word impossible from her vocabulary!
3. Can hold a baby, take care of a toddler and drive a tractor or combine all at the same time.
4. Must be able to cook for a crew - large or small.
5. Must be able to read minds.
6. Must be able to banter with a parts man until he realizes you DO know what you're talking about.
7. Must be the entertainment director for those rainy days.
8. Be a wife, mom, friend, helper, cook, problem solver, taxi driver or extra crew hand at all times.
9. Can handle the call that makes you react, "You need what? When?" Dropping everything you're doing to make it happen.
10. At the end of the day say, "I really do love this life".
