Gary was a man I will never forget!
In the first days I met him, he gave me a PAMI report on the first combine I ever ran…a New Holland TR70. Then, he introduced me to Genelle!
I just love her! She has shown incredible strength! She stood by Gary through his dreams of chasing wheat and his love for John Deere. He truly loved the harvest run and this love was backed by an incredible women.
Gary battled his cancer so courageously this past year, even spending Christmas week in the hospital with Genelle right by his side. Genelle watched the man she loved fight a great battle; all the while, nurturing him and keeping the rest of us informed of his progress. Sometimes, her greatest feat was just adhering to his amazing food cravings. Genelle stood by her man through it all!
God brought Gary home to His big wheat field on Saturday morning.
This HarvestHER is a definition of strength, love and grace. We will all miss you, Gary, and we will all stand by you, Genelle! We will keep you and your family close to our hearts and in our prayers. 🌾❤🌾
1. Be ready to go at the drop of a hat...sometimes without a lunchbox.
2. Has removed the word impossible from her vocabulary!
3. Can hold a baby, take care of a toddler and drive a tractor or combine all at the same time.
4. Must be able to cook for a crew - large or small.
5. Must be able to read minds.
6. Must be able to banter with a parts man until he realizes you DO know what you're talking about.
7. Must be the entertainment director for those rainy days.
8. Be a wife, mom, friend, helper, cook, problem solver, taxi driver or extra crew hand at all times.
9. Can handle the call that makes you react, "You need what? When?" Dropping everything you're doing to make it happen.
10. At the end of the day say, "I really do love this life".
