Nancy Eberts – Eberts Harvesting, Inc.
Here at the farm this morning, we sorted and hauled the cow/calf pairs out to pasture.
What looks like a breeze, takes time and preparation. The guys spent a few days working on and checking fence and the animals had to be branded and vaccinated (a while back). Not all of the animals go to just one pasture. Today, however, we took one bunch to a pasture an hour away.
First you sort…
Then you load…
Cows and calves are loaded separately…
Bulls loaded separately, as well…
When traveling to the pasture, I took Tavia’s seat so she was stuck in the sleeper!
Driving through South Heart, ND, I can remember going to that elevator (now it’s boarded up) as a child…to me, at that time, it was HUGE! They are fewer and fewer scattered over these flyover states!
Release and set free…
Was a good morning! Mason is now spraying, JD and Darian are cleaning out the cattle pot and Dylan is mowing the yard.
I am headed to the office…to finish up paperwork before we head out next week.
America “here’s the beef”!
