Why am I proud to be a part of HarvestHER?
- Because every day is a brand new day in which we are celebrated, agriculture is promoted and our story is being told in our own words.
- When I was asked by Tracy to be a part of this, I didn’t hesitate and was willing to make the commitment because I knew Tracy was the kind of gal that wanted this industry (every part of it) and its individuals to shine. Myron, as well, was in full support and excited to share who we are and what we do!
- We are now in our second year and never once have I been edited, judged, or been told what can or cannot be posted. I never once felt put aside. Tracy understands what harvest is and all the things that can happen or needs to be communicated. She simply encourages and promotes who we are and lets us know she’s there if we need anything.
- Her own experience, in the business of harvesting, just makes everything “spot on”.
There are dozens of contributors (mostly female) and even some males but, all in all, the many family members and customers are always included.
If ever I’ve needed some quick information, help, or a shoulder to cry on, she was there. She brought the wine, laughed with me and, most importantly, always let me be me. This group of contributors have supported, prayed, lifted and shared with one another since inception…and some of us have never even met…YET!
In the world of Agriculture, we need as many advocates as possible. We need all consumers and individuals to understand what is happening and what could happen if we don’t support one another.
It’s all about education, promotion, encouragement and understanding.
