05/19/17 A Flashback to June 13, 2016 – Frederick, Oklahoma

Nancy Eberts – Eberts Harvesting, Inc.

Nancy updated her HarvestHER report yesterday and mentioned Box, Inc. This made me think about a post that she submitted when this HarvestHER thing was in its infancy – back in June 2016. It wasn’t until much later that I began taking the harvest updates and putting them on the website. Apparently, I missed several HarvestHER postings even though I went through each post. Not sure how Facebook was able to hide them from me.

I remembered this one after Nancy mentioned the store. I went back through and found it because I wanted you to see WHY it’s her favorite store and WHY she misses it so much. It’s worth sharing again…

How to talk to a parts person…

“I need that bearing on the right hand side by the return…”
“It’s a 2388 and don’t ask me the year”!
“It looks like this”
“My husband said you would know” and the list goes on and on.
Oh the stories they could tell!

Twyla and her husband Dan.

Twyla and her daughter, Cordell, who was just a twinkle in her eye when we met. My how time flies on the road!

When I had to make trips to the parts counter, they were a little worrisome for me. But, when I met Twyla behind the counter at BOX INC and she’d be answering two questions at once and have numbers and filters memorized, it made me step up my game a whole lot more. Twyla has been behind the counter at BOX INC since I have known her. Not only does she know her parts and repairs but she still knows today what sells and what the community would like. They are 100% “customer friendly”.

When we came to Frederick, Oklahoma, it was with her and her family’s help that we felt welcomed. Still today, some 21 years later, she is there promoting family, farming, ranching and community.

A good parts person is a gem but a good parts woman is unforgettable and one of a kind! If anyone ever drives through Frederick, Oklahoma be sure to stop by and check out this amazing place! Tell Twyla I said hello. I look forward to it every year and remember it as I leave Oklahoma and head into Kansas on the harvest trail.
