Generally, no one wants to photograph the chaos of packing the camper! I needed a break this am so I thought it was a good excuse. Simple chaos but in reality, I just look at the crew coming in the house to refill their lemonades and sweet tea and I know they have it worse. Myron and guys hope to leave in the morning, I will join them later next week.
Sweetest scent coming through the camper window! There’s always little things God gives us to stand back and say “thank you”! Back room of the men’s camper…beds to make. It is one of those workouts that every HarvestHER has to dread…I am old enough to nap in between making these beds! Each bed has up to four fitted sheets (for easy cleaning and changing).
Front room beds to make.
I have transferred most of the supplies – now to put it all away.
Seems like a short distance but by 10 a.m., I had 5,096 steps on my fit bit.
Nancy has been making the custom harvest journey with her husband, Myron, since 1982. In those early years of life on the road, she could be found in the combine or truck - along with any or all of their four children. These days, her time is mostly spent taking care of two campers, walking to the clothesline and back, cooking on the grill, paperwork in the office and windshield time in the cab of a pickup. Whatever it takes to “get ‘er done”! When Myron and Nancy aren't on the road, they call South Heart, North Dakota home.
