There’s a little pep in my step this morning!

Not only because I have breakfast done and served, lunch made and supper planned (including the fresh “from scratch chocolate pie” in the fridge cooling), but because I just spent the last four days with a group of like-minded ladies whom are now some of my most beloved, trusted and “I can count on” friends…the participants at the HarvestHER retreat 2018!

As HarvestHERS, we do many things to keep things going, whether in the field, at home, on the road or even in other business positions…we simply know that together nothing is impossible.

I was more than happy to contribute to Tracy Zeorian’s dream for the HarvestHERs because I knew how much she loves what we do and her passion for sharing and educating is contagious.  What I didn’t realize is how much it would continue to help me grow and communicate, and how much I would simply count on. It is REAL, CURRENT, and SPOT ON!

After over a year of contributing, Tracy had an idea of gathering the contributors together in a location to spend time together. This would include a little well-deserved pampering, and a lot of sharing. It came to fruition and it couldn’t have been anymore successful than it was. The future looks great!

The complete joy of visiting, laughing, learning, sharing and indulging with each other simply uplifted our spirits in such a positive way that I know I will lean on these ladies as we go out; not only this summer and fall, but for years to come and as we all continue to “make a living”.

Ashli Brehm of Omaha – Mother, Wife, Cancer Survivor, Speaker & Blogger (Baby on the Brehm) – inspired and motivated the group with her life story. She also became a HarvestHER that day…staying for lunch and participating in the class on bullet journaling. When she left, it was like telling a friend goodbye.

Liz showed up right after lunch to teach us about the benefits of keeping a bullet journal. Hopefully, this was just enough instruction to inspire everyone to figure out the best way to organize their “to-do” lists and daily activities. (Photo credit – Taylor Josoff Photography

We are very aware of the circumstances facing us in this industry and all of agriculture.  Yet, we also knew that we simply needed to keep moving forward and that we could help each other.  It truly comes down to having friends you can trust and rely on in life…and perseverance.  Being part of a team that has hope.

So what may have seemed funny (or a bit ridiculous) was merely a small reflection of the bond we shared. Only a shadow of the conversations, ideas, solutions, and even problems we shared. USA, CANADA and AUSTRALIA…together believing!

Women are simply an integral part of this great industry and, I for one, am grateful for Tracy and all her hard work.  A HUGE shout-out to the wonderful sponsors who stepped up to say, “We believe in you and your story and we want to be a part of how you’re making a difference in this ever-changing industry.”

Gold Sponsor – New Holland Ag

Silver Sponsor – MacDon Industries Ltd

Bronze Sponsors – BWS Manufacturing, Calmer Corn Heads, Custom Harvest Insurance, Honey Bee Manufacturing

I am a HarvestHER and ready (well almost) for 2018!
